November 2021

Life's too short to spend every night recording my day so I've decided to encapsulate my time on a monthly basis from now on.

November's highlights:

I discovered by standing on the side table that blocks my access behind the telly in the living room, I can climb onto the window sill and pretend to be a cat. Unfortunately, I needed to be rescued by the man when my legs became entangled in the window blinds. I enjoyed the view of the front garden while it lasted.

At Paws & Co, now that I'm not getting a proper lunchtime feed, I'm feeling hungry, most especially when around me in their cages, my pals have bowls full of food. To curb these hunger pangs, I discovered this little trick. If I extend my paw into the cage next door, I can swipe the food bowl, knocking it over, sending the dry food everywhere including my cage. It works every time. I eat up my winnings so quickly no one's caught me yet.

I also discovered I can jump the gate into the office to join my human pals while they feast on their lunch. Not that they give me anything but hugs. It's worth it for those alone.

I got my first bath and brush at the Grooming Room in Bridge of Weir. After some initial reticence about going into the close ie, I had to be dragged in, I discovered my human pal Michelle was inside and she pampered me through the process, washing my coat, then blow-drying it afterwards, followed by a brush and a nail trim, giving me the reward of a new bow for my collar. Then I played about with my doggy pal Holly while we waited for the man to return.

I encountered my first snow. It's like rain but white and colder and clings to my beard when I sniff about. The scents at the cabin were amazing. I could follow them from one deer dropping to another and never feel full.

Sometimes humans need to hug me so I oblige

I was beginning to look like a Wookie, so a haircut was long overdue. However, I wasn't expecting quite so dramatic a transformation. Po...
