March 2024 - Parks, Parks and Woodland Walks

The Woman's birthday was in March. She got lots of presents from the Man (mainly Lego). She also received a belated gift of Covid from her choir. I didn't like her cough. It scared me. I'd leave the room whenever she started. You know it was bad because this meant I couldn't get any tickles.

The Man had to take over my walking duties, which was hard for him because he'd hurt his back. I don't mind short walks when it's raining, but when it's sunny, he really needs to up his game. I think the Woman needs to trade him in for a newer model or get a dogwalker who can feed me treats, keep up with my pace and not take me up the Braes when all the other dogwalkers are there with their packs. Have you seen how scary these animals are? I refuse to get out of the car if I as much as sniff a whiff of them.

We did get to go on some fantastic walks, though.

Forth River walk, Aberfoyle
(I've never found the first three)

Gleniffer Braes Country Park

Are we going this way?

No, this way.

It takes skill
to balance a pylon on your head

Glasgow in the distance

Maxwellton Park (where else could it be?)

I'm not ready for my close-up

I don't know why the shard is behind bars.
Maybe it appeared stoned in public.
(I'll get my coat)

(this shot was taken near the road, hence the lead)

Mud, glorious mud.

A bridge without a view

Not much to see.

It was sunny

Is this a path or a puddle?

People live here?

We spent an afternoon at Balloch Country Park and had a snack in the paw-friendly Cafe Zest in Frasers at Loch Lomond Shores. The waitress came over and gave me a doggy biscuit for free. My eyebrow hypnosis is still working great.

Same forest walk but elsewhere

Sometimes I like to walk along a wall.
Just for the heck of it.

A glorious sunset over Gartmore

Ben Lomond, but I'm not sure on which planet.

We did some walks closer to home too.

One Tuesday early in the month, the Man volunteered to take me on my morning walk (the Woman had to drive down to Ardrossan to collect her mum). As we stepped out of the house, I was not amused with him. I halted, insisting we go no further in case we met anyone. He declined my request and waited me out. Eventually, I relented and walked on. I realised he was listening to a Big Finish Doctor Who production, so he was unlikely to turn back willingly. We eventually reached the main road, but the risk of meeting people was too great. I quickly peed and pooed and then pretended that I could smell rain to force him to return home.

Only when we got back to the house did he realise the reason for my reluctance to walk.

His flies were down.

No wonder the Woman calls him Old Man. Next, I'll be visiting him in the nursing home.

I'll leave you with some images of me relaxing.

Is it time to use the summer house?

February 2024 - Mainly in Pictures

The Man's Mum's new hip was on the mend, so Molly got to go home. But not before I taught her a few of my moves.

Lie at their feet

Lift foreleg to expose tummy

Get tickled.

Now, your turn

Look cute

Play cute

Good girl!

I was a bit disappointed that the Man's Mum never gifted me her discarded hip. I love me a bone to chew.

Before Molly went home, we had a day out together at Castle Semple.

She can't be trusted off-lead.

If birds are present, I can't be trusted off-lead either.

I thought these birds were big until...
we spent some time up at the cabin.

Reminder: it's my feeding time

February 2026 - Shorn Like a Sheep

I was beginning to look like a Wookie, so a haircut was long overdue. However, I wasn't expecting quite so dramatic a transformation. Po...
