October 2022

October brought a change in the weather. It has been rather wet and windy.  The Woman bought me a new Equafleece, one more appropriate to my current size, given how much I've grown in the last year. This one covers all the way to my bottom but allows my ankles to remain free.

I wasn't the only one getting presents this month. The Man got an early birthday present: Covid. The Woman bought him supplies so he could isolate himself at the cabin. I helped her wrap his other presents.

He remained positive for ten days but wasn't happy about it, spending his birthday alone, sleeping, sweating and coughing. We cheered him up with an outdoor visit the day after. I found a bone to chew while they chatted socially distanced.

The view of the forest was stunning, although it was too wet to explore.

I received another haircut this month as my eyebrows were nearly touching my beard. I was naughty and didn't keep my paws still when Michelle trimmed my nails, causing her to nick me. When we got home, the Woman didn't want me to lick my paws so I ended up leaving blood marks all over the living room carpet. She wouldn't let the Man take a picture of that so here is me playing with my toys and a bone instead.

I had a Goldilocks experience this month on the bedding front - no bears were involved.

Too hard

Too soft

Just right

They won't let me sleep on their bed though.

I didn't have many adventures this month, just trips up the Braes and down to Ardrossan to see the Grand Woman. These are the pictorial highlights:

Give me a treat... I'm not going to say please

Yes, that is me

Windswept and interesting

Why does this house not have a stairs guard?

Post-haircut pose

I want this for my passport pic
